The French Clip is a basic metal clip that comes in 3 parts, the frame, the spring and the clasp.  I use sizes 40mm (3/4 inch), 50mm (1 1/2 inch), and 70mm (2 inch).  They work best in fuller hair or above pony tails. The size of the actual bow depends on the style and the types and sizes of the actual ribbon, the bow is always larger than the clip size. French Clips are only used with our Loopy Bows.

Our Alligator Clips are double prong clips like you see in the picture below, each measures 1 3/4 inches in length.    These are metal clips that do not clasp like the French Clips, instead they pinch the hair.  They work best in fine hair or to pull the hair to the side if the child has little hair to pull.  The size of the actual bow depends on the style and the types and sizes of the actual ribbon, the bow is always larger than the clip size.  We always trim the inside and outside of the clip with coordinating ribbon. All Bottlecap, Boutique, Korker and Catholic Medal Bows use the Alligator Clips.
